Building our school

Our innovative school building will be constructed using natural materials, with rooms designed to maximise natural light, healthy air quality and access to the outside.

The school will be carbon neutral over its lifetime, through the use of renewable energy, tree planting and carbon sequestration initiatives.
Integrating nature
As planning requirements in schools are increasingly focused on the environment and social value, our eco-friendly school building will include many natural features.

TG Escapes

Our school will be constructed by TG Escapes, renowned for producing beautiful modular buildings with biophilic design at the heart of every project.
TG Escapes is founded on the belief that you can create practical, stylish buildings from sustainable materials which will enhance the wellbeing of the occupants and help protect the planet. To date, they have built over 800 buildings across the UK, with a particular specialism in the education sector.
TG Escapes’ mission is to dramatically improve the normal construction method by creating ecological, healthy and sustainable buildings.

Location considerations

To uphold the project’s commitment to social mobility and sustainability, the school’s location will need to be in an area of socio-economic and cultural diversity.

This may present the right mix of people, although a conducive plot will likely be harder to obtain.

Rural setting

If land is easier to source further away, then the number of families who might use such a school will be more limited.
Whilst this school could thrive in many areas of the UK, MTM Consulting conducted an analysis of the region surrounding TG Escapes head office. At the time of writing, this has shown three corridors of opportunity within striking distance: Market Bosworth, Leamington Spa and Coventry.
